We have discovered outdoor markets in the following towns, just by being in the area.
Marina di Casal Velino – Every Friday morning year round until about 1:00 pm. Market located along Canale Tufulo and in the beach parking lot across Via Lungo Mare. This market showcases fresh produce, local cheeses, fresh fish, pasta and olives and some household goods along Canale Tufulo. There are lots of clothes and shoe vendors in the beach parking lot. The fresh produce is very reasonably priced and I bought an inexpensive pair of shoes there, I always get complimented on.
Ascea – Every Thursday morning (we believe year round) until about 1:00 pm. The market meanders along the southern end of the beach along Longomare Levante. This market is predominately clothes and shoes and household goods and linens. I bought a couple of shirts there for 10 euros each and always get complimented when I wear them!
Vallo della Lucania – Every Saturday morning (we believe year round) until about 1:00 pm. We discovered it in a parking lot under the trees in the block between these roads: SS18, Via Angelo Raffaele Passaro, Via Madonna del Rosario, and Via Raffaele Stasi. It is the block adjacent to Piazza Victor Emmanuale. This market seems to specialize in apparel of all types and shoes.
