MTU maintenance extends statoilcontract

May 12, 2016

MTU Maintenance has extended its contract with Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil for its GE (LM series) industrial gas turbines.

The US$200 million agreement calls for MTU Maintenance to handle maintenance, repair and overhaul for parts of Statoil's fleet. The agreement stems back to 2006 when MTU first agreed to service Statoil's industrial gas turbines.

The turbines, which include the LM2500, LM2500+ and LM6000, are used in compressor stations, as well as onshore and offshore applications for power generation and marine propulsion.

MTU Maintenance, a provider of maintenance services for commercial engines and industrial gas turbines in Germany, has been in the industrial gas turbine business for more than 35 years.
